Dr Bala Alhaji Salihu, an Associate Professor, is the ICT Team Lead. He is of the Department of Telecommunication Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. He holds a B.Eng. and M.Eng. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from FUT Minna and earned PhD in Communication and Information Systems Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China. He commenced his working career with Starcomms Limited making his mark as an accomplished expert in mobile telecommunications and system engineer before he transited into the world of academia. He currently holds the position of Director of Information Technology Services (ITS) unit at FUT Minna.

Our ICT Team Lead is a certified HCIP and an awardee of the best ICT trainer by Huawei Technologies Nigeria. As the ICT-hub manager and training expertise with a record of building an ICT ecosystem, he has mentored and led students at the Federal University of Technology, Minna to global ICT competitions winning the first and grand prizes in 2024 and 2025 respectively. He is an active Member of IEEE, Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE), International Association of Engineers, and certified by the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

As a consummate researcher, he collaborated with international institutions and scholars, contributing to global research in telecommunications and intelligent systems. His published work and research contributions are in the field of wireless communication, LTE-Advanced systems, network architecture, and radio resource management. Other areas include studies on energy efficiency, Internet of Things (IOT) platforms, and interference mitigation.
