Dr Mustapha Ibrahim (Lemu)
Dr Mustapha Ibrahim (Lemu) is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of MTRD Consulting and the Team lead of the Education and Training Group. He graduated from Bayero university, Kano with B. A. Ed, M. Ed. And PhD degrees in Education, Test and Measurement and Guidance and Counselling. He has proved himself as an intellectual with vast experience in academics, politics, public service, and business. He served as lecturer and head of department of education of College of Education, Minna and in other different capacities in Bayero University, Kano. To buttress his love for academics, he is still teaching as an adjunct Senior Lecturer at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State.
He was a congressman elected to the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the chairman of the subcommittees of the House Services and Education Committees. On the dissolution of the third republic, he founded and was the Chief Executive of FEMBO Consulting that was into provision of high quality and impactful training to Central Bank of Nigeria, Inter City Bank, Bank of the North (now Unity Bank Plc.), Nigeria Export Import Bank (NEXIM Bank), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Public sector Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Commissions among others. He also consulted for United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), German Agency for International Cooperation and Development (GIZ), World Bank/Cambridge Education Limited and MRL Public Sector Consultants Limited on various projects and programmes.
In Dr. Mustapha Lemu Ibrahim’s sojourn into public service, he was the Executive Chairman of Secondary Education Board; member and acting Chairman of State Universal Basic Education Board; Permanent Secretary, Basic Education; Honorable Commissioner, Ministries of Tertiary Education as well as Science and Technology; Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on Staff Training and Integrated Qur’anic Education; as well as Executive Director/Director general, Niger State Teacher Professional Development Institute. He is the State Consultant and Task Team lead on Islamic Development Bank’s Smart Education Initiative.
Dr. Mustapha Ibrahim (Lemu)’s main interest is in impactful cross functional applications of management concepts, insights and best practices to finance, public service, education, health, agriculture, community development and conflict resolution in organizational setting.
